WHAT’S INVOLVED?
The first part of your experience involves meeting our charming little characters!
After a short health & safety briefing you will be matched with an alpaca pal. Your alpaca will be your new bestie as we give you a bag of feed to help win them over (NOTE: they are easily won over)!
Then it’s Trek Time! This is a fun amble around our glamping site with time to ask questions and enjoy some friendly banter.
Photographs are encouraged! Who doesn’t want to leave without an alpaca selfie?! We always offer to capture a group photo so phones and cameras at the ready!
We offer complimentary refreshments of tea, coffee & diluting juice for all visitors in The Ben. Additional beverages, treats and Arran ice cream are available to purchase. There is a selection of local and alpaca-themed items in our little gift shop section too.
BOOKING INFORMATION:
- Please book online
- £25 per alpaca + 1 person (over 8)
- Children aged 8 - 16 must be accompanied by an adult who can join our trek as a spectator
- £10 per spectator/extra person
- Suitable footwear must be worn
- FREE tea, coffee or juice after your trek

Trekking visitors receive complimentary refreshments in our barn, ‘The Ben’ where you can browse our “alpaca shop” and local products. Make the most of your day by bringing a picnic and let the kids enjoy themselves at the play area and games room.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please ensure you are aware of the cancellation policy as part of the Terms & Conditions when a trek booking is made.
CANCELLATION BY CUSTOMER:
Cancellation 2 weeks before experience date: refund less £10 admin fee OR reschedule trek to another available date OR voucher for full amount
Cancellation 2 weeks to 48hrs before experience: 50% refund
Cancellation within 48hrs or no-show: no refund
CANCELLATION BY ARRAN ALPACAS:
We reserve the right to cancel an experience in circumstances out with our control. Should this happen, a 100% refund will be given.
CANCELLATION DUE TO FERRIES:
If the ferries have affected your travel plans, we understand this is out with the control of both Arran Alpacas and yourself. You will have the option to reschedule your trek to another available date OR receive a voucher for the full amount.
