Arran Alpacas is based at Balmichael Glamping, 15 minutes drive from Brodick on The String road which connects the east and west of the island. Running alongside the Highland Fault Line, this stunning drive to Arran Alpacas doesn’t disappoint.

We are approx. 7 miles from Brodick and 3 miles from Blackwaterfoot.
From Brodick our site is positioned on the right hand side of The String,

BY BUS:
Stagecoach buses operate along The String & pass the entrance to Arran Alpacas.

Arrival
Please park at the sign-posted car park (where we have ample spaces) and wander down the path to The Courtyard where we will be around to welcome you 10 mins before your experience. Please use the WCs to wash your hands before and after touching the animals.
The Courtyard is steeped in history and hosts a collection of beautiful farm buildings including an old mill (refurbished into a games room which you are welcome to use) and we have some traditional farm machinery on display.
Alpaca trekkers can make use of the outbuilding WCs in the courtyard where warm water is available for hand washing. Hand sanitiser is available all over the site.
Once parked, follow the path towards Balmichael Glamping and Arran Alpacas into the main courtyard.
